Hi Lorna,

For existing Google alert log into Google, go to www.google.com/alerts and click 'click here to manage alerts'. Click 'edit' next to the alert you want to send to reader. Under 'deliver to' choose 'feed' from the drop down menu.

I'm not sure it will bring old alerts in but it will convert existing alerts. The same for Twitter.

However I wouldn't rely on Google Reader to store this information forever. For brand mentions I would save links somewhere else too.

Hi great blog and podcasts. I have been watching your tutorilas on google reader. It is exactly what I've been looking for interms of getting the business mentions all onto one easy to view platform. Now I have set it up and it is giving me any new mentions. Is there a way of getting all the info. I have been monetoring over the past 6months onto google reader. I set up a google alerts there a few months back and would like to get them out of my inbox and into google reader. Also any twitter mentions we have had over past few months. Do you know if this is possible?

Hi Shane,

According to All Facebook it does send a page invite and a 'join facebook' invite to those on the list not already using Facebook.

You can deselect mailing list members if you don't want them to recieve the invite. There have also been a few issues with this system with some people reporting that it is not working at all. Hopefully this is just a glitch as this is a very handy tool.

Hi, can I ask what happens if you import a load of contacts from an external source, and some of these people don't have a Facebook account? Does Facebook just ignore these, or does it send out annoying invites to join Facebook (which have in the past, been confused as Friend Requests from me by those who recieved them).

Thanks for the tip on the facebook updates when a user exceeds the 420 characters we're automatically asked if we want to set up a note. Which sometimes tries to post on the profile rather than the intended page. The addition of a photo is a neat work around. Thank you. I have a question.

Re face book badges when applied to web pages am I restricted to use only one badge layout every where? For example portrait or landscape. When I use portrait on one page and later use a landscape badge on another page on the website or even another website altogether. The first badge keeps the portrait size but the contents are of the landscape layout but compress to fit the portrait box. Am I missing a setting somewhere?

I have all the 'rushes' auto saved in iMovie on my computer... never thought of deleting them tbh! It did take me all day yesterday to find the out takes and edit them into some sort of shape though. Glad you enjoyed it, I feel a bit odd sharing it, it's like someone catching you talking to yourself.
